Mixing vocals in Ableton Live: Tutorial

Post by Vespers » Tue Apr 03, 2012 4:44 pm

Here are some tips and tricks on mixing vocals in Ableton Live by Jake Perrine, Certified Ableton Trainer and author of Sound Design, Mixing and Mastering with Ableton Live.

He covers compression settings, using EQ Eight to add top end "air" to the vocal and remove unwanted frequencies, gating, and use of spacial returns such as reverb and filtered delays.

Jake is a professional mix engineer. Loads of good tips here. Enjoy!

Jake is also doing a 4 week long, intensive "Mixing and Mastering in Ableton Live" web course. More info on that here: http://vespers.ca/shop/lessons-and-work ... eton-live/
