Start a martial art where you get to do some sparring.

Post sparring euphoria never seems to go away as far as I can tell

Have you ever done martial arts or sparring. I think fighting is a real natural way to work out

Two mates and I went for a rave but it got cancelled, so we ended up next door at weekly mixed music night. It was a bit shite and we spent most of the night in the smoking area. Anyway I think we had loads of unspent energy because we kept play fighting all night, then when we left we decided to fight for real, not to knock each other out but we were landing blows.

We were fighting for about an hour or so just taking it in turns having rounds... was mad, but after that we decided to make it a weekly thing.

We used to got to the park and spar, and it was sick cos after a while me and my friend new each others styles so we were getting quite good, we got gloves and wraps n started circuit training in the park.

Winter came and we couldn't keep it up but since then i haven't stopped training. I hadn't trained for years before... dunno if this helps :?

I've been told that you need to switch up your routine every couple months, would changing the combination of body parts on different days class as changing the routine? or do I have to come up with a whole new workout with new excersises?

atm I do
Monday: chest and shoulders
Tuesday: Legs and Abs
Wednesday: Back and Forearms
Thursday: Chest and Shoulders
Friday: Biceps and Triceps

The second day of chest and shoulders is different excersises, so for example instead of incline press I'll do decline

Switching up your routine every couple months can be as simple as more weight, more reps, more sets or decreased recovery time in between sets. (Just do whatever to keep your body guessing. Don't let the fucker get comfortable!)
Or you can keep everything the same and do different exercises eg if you have been using a bar for whatever then use bells instead (that's the simplest example though)

Personally, i'd say the two chest/shoulder days are too close together. You may not be giving them time enough to heal.
But hey, if you're seeing results you're seeing results.

I'm constantly trying to increase the weights, so every couple of weeks I'll try and go up a dumbbell weight, for example a couple weeks ago I was doing incline presses:
12 Reps @ 20kgs, 10/ 8 reps @22kgs, 6/ 8 reps @ 22kgs and then this week I did 12 reps @ 22kgs, 10/8 reps @ 22kgs, 6 reps @ 24kgs. If that makes sense.

so do the second chest and shoulders on friday? I only do them on thursday because I read somewhere you chould do biceps and triceps last in the week? maybe thats bullshit though

So have you stopped seeing results or do you just think you should switch things up because that's what you've heard you should do?
A word of warning in regard to moving up too quickly - stretch marks are a real possibility. I warned this guy I used to work with and he was all "yeah, yeah, yeah. TEEEEMPZ". Two months later he was hench but stretch marked to fuck! Worst thing was he's black. It looked fucking nasty.
All that aside, you're decidedly younger than me so as long as your listening to your body you should be golden.

As for the chest/shoulders on the same day, i'd say give splitting them up a go. Chest monday, shoulders Thursday and go for the gusto!

Been doing a similar routine for about 6 months so feel like I should switch it up a bit. Still seeing results but think i might see better results with a bit of variety?
luckily i've got freakishly stretchy skin (probably from being a bit over weight in the past) so dont think i'll get stretch mark, but i'll keep an eye out, never a good look!

Think i'll try doing more reps and see how that goes, push it to 15 or something? Also I tend to do the reps slower now 1) because it allows you to keep better form, and 2) because apparently you build more muscle when the weights are coming down rather than going up. Again that could be bullshit
