ZOMBY
Re: ZOMBY
Despite the irony of Zomby whining about someone jacking his style, immediately after the most liberal interpretation of 'sampling' ever. SBTRKT does come across as manufactured, brands himself not a social person but happy enough to acquire thousands of followers on twitter? It does rile me when producers beg some mysterious persona, and if he had a fully fledged music career prior then....
Still, the tribal mask is infinitely better than that geeky modded Guy Fawks headgear....
Champion of headgear clearly goes to Actress though (i fucking love the aesthetic in this clip);

Re: ZOMBY
Who cares if it's pop anyway? "Living Like I Do" is perfect pop music.
Re: ZOMBY

Re: ZOMBY
the quicker people learn that pop does not equal bad the better
the amount of times i've heard people say that they like a tune but it's "too commercial"
what the fuck does that even mean?

I've been into sbtrkt since laika came out. and his sound became more pop.fractal wrote:people talking like sbtrkt is pop must have just starting getting into his music once the album came out...

Re: ZOMBY
if by pop we're talking about him being popular, then year sure i'll accept that
but in terms of his music, its far from it

Re: ZOMBY
It really doesn't matter man, like I've compiled a bunch of tunes I liked previous to being made aware of all this hipster/indie/bloggery faggotry of the internet with shit like Noreaga tunes and old Nelly Furtado shits. Drake is the business, I don't even carepikeymobile wrote:innitbadger wrote:the quicker people learn that pop does not equal bad the better
