My neighbours have jumped on the dubstep bandwagon and not in the "let's learn about this scene by it's roots" kind of way...

one of my good mates has been staying with me recently, he's moved up from london, i got him a job, he's sleeping on my bedroom floor at the moment

i lived with him before for a couple of years, and to be honest, he was an absolute wasteman, he knows it, admits it etc.

so im thinking, ok he's lived on his own for a bit and he's sorted himself out

in a lot of ways he really has, but still, some things that literally a 3 year old knows and does, he is just incapable of doing

he leaves the front door open when he leaves the house

he goes to sleep, literally on top of my clothes, he's flattened two of my caps by sleeping on them, its FUCKING annoying - HOW CAN YOU NOT SEE THEM1?!? HOW CAN YOU NOT NOTICE YOU'RE LYING ON A FUCKING HAT?!?! (the hats are on the floor, typically cos he's nocked them off my chair that i leave my clothes on when i go bed)

this morning i made him a brew, he fell asleep, didn't drink the brew, left it on the floor, knocked it over with his head when he woke up, cleaned it up, folded the bedding he's been using, and put the bedding on top of the mug, the wet carpet, the empty glass of orange juice h drank from this morning, an a glass of water which he'd stock piled during the night - like, just put the bedding on top of all that stuff, as if he just didn't even know it was there despite spending 10minutes patting down the pint of tea he'd just spilled

he also sat on one of my records which was just on my bed, again, on top of my bed, how do you not see that?!

dont get me wrong i love the dude to bits, but he's probably the dopiest guy i've ever met

duno if i can handle living with him again as and when i move out

My english teacher gave me a weird look when I mentioned that as the musical instrument I played. Like the wtf stare. I had to give her the 'wiki wiki' dj motion to confirm what i meant.

My hard drive is dying. My computer nerd mate ran all of the virus scans/reformatting/reinstalling windows he could think of. Together we gave the hard drive the best quality treatment we could think of.

The bad sectors are still there though.

He told me that there was no point in me trying to hold on. That there was nothing I could do.

I did my best, but sometimes you just lose people. The hard drive was still young, and it's always hard saying goodbye sooner than you expected. My mate advised me just to get a new one, but it's not as easy as that. We shared so many memories, so much data. There will always be a part of me residing on that hard drive, and I will never forget it.
