I can only take so much Art Department.... a lot of people in the House community feel Hot Creation is the Brostep of house music, I disagree but can see where they are coming from...... Deep House is where its at tho

hot creations and the whole sound coming from labels like them and others is incredibly cheesy imo

when i think of crosstown and hot creations i don't really think 'deep house' as such, more 'miami b2b cocaine house'.

crosstown rebels have put some bangers out though. most recent would be the inxec and droog release... rough jams.

i respect all of them, or anyone that blows up and becomes famous and what not, everyone starts out at the bottom. brings vibes to many dancefloors around the world.. just not my vibe.

do you consider Miguel Campbell cheeseball? I get what you mean tho these labels like HC and Crosstown are scewing the meaning and soul from house music from a feeeling to some druged up cheese ball thing, I respect Soul Clap a ton tho they are amazing DJ's who have been grinding for over a decade and get a ton of respect in the industry.

coming from a non-house perspective and buying tunes from both of those labels i can certainly see where you're coming from

to me they dont sound like 'House Music' but something different

just some cool tunes on both those labels though, but yeh, sounds a lot more industrial and electroey than house sometimes

The events where DJs like Lee Foss, Jamie Jones etc etc play "sell out" in record time, but generally by people who dont give a shit about the music and just go to put on their sandiest chinos, boatiest boat shoes and most denimy denim shirts and take as much ket & coke as they can and stay up for the longest time possible and go to the most after parties possible, and then brag about it on facebook with instagram photos. This may generally be a LDN thing, but I guess it must be similar all over.

Seems logical. My mates and i have been getting pretty heavily into Deeper house/techno over the past year or so and we are all 20-21.

This. Due to this thread i have just been looking through Juno all day for new tunes. Been finding loads that i knew but didn't know what the names were then loads of sick new ones!



Dunno if Fort Romeau is classed as Deep house but this whole EP is sick!

I agree to some extent that they bring that type of crowd, but on the other hand they are loved on Resident Advisor and are at the top of many of their polls, so clearly people do care about the music and understand the genre to some extent, visionquest has released some awesome stuff to
