who the fuck is this ghostface knobhead. That radio host or whatever was on his nuts sooo hard, look at the way he jumped up like that, obviously he was psyched that DMX was in the studio, much like a 13 year old girl is psyched at the chance to lick Justin Bieber's scalp grease.
Did someone actually dis Wu-Tang? That's just asking for beatings IMO

can't stand Drake. don't want anything to do with this singing/weird tone of voice shit. Childish Gambino and plenty of others are guilty of it too. Unfortunately, even Big Boi started doing it a bit on his last solo album.

as for the Wu-Tang, IMO - Mr Meth, the GZA, the RZA and Inspectah Deck are the better members. I find ODB sometimes throws in strange noises/yells/slurs words to sound as if he has more flow, without actually rhyming or making sense. that said, I still have respect for him - cause there ain't no father to his style

ketamine wrote:Ghostface Killa is garbage, along with the entire Wu Tang (sans Method Man). The beats always sounded like sh*t, the ****** can't rap on beat, and run on sentences talking about nothing. Even in highschool in 1998 I didn't listen to them. I was a Bone Thugs Fan. So I guess I like rappers that sing. Drake talks about girl problems, which is something we all can relate to, and not every rap song needs to be about street problems and how hard life is. There are other subjects out there like the nostalgia of being young and hanging out, and he covers that. Drake is a breath of fresh air and as far as I'm concerned, together, he & his producer 40 are the Jamie Woon / Burial of HipHop.

I know I stand alone. I don't care. YOLO

as much as i love drake, don't go chatting shit bout wu tang
gza is probs the best emcee in history. i reckon rza could've been one of the finest emcees if he improved his flow, but he hasn't changed at all in 20 years aha

rza's verse is untouchable

You guys don't scare me I went through this in highschool. Constantly being bashed for following Bone Thugs n Harmony and not Wu. Fuck Wu. Their production sucked, and other than Method & ODB none of them could write SONGS. Just babbling on, like their at an underground MC contest, stringing pointless rhymes together (yes, they can rhyme words) but wtf are they talking about? And stay on beat? You can tell they (back in the 90s) wrote their rhymes first then tried to find beats to rap them to, which led to them cramming way too many words together and that shit irritates me. Wu Tang are great street corner MCs. And that's fine, but I don't listen to street corner rappers. I like polished, mixed, well written, mastered, crispy clean rap. Like, BTNH back then, and Drake now. Wu is hip hop hype and respect and everybody rides them because everybody rides them. Like Jay Z. He sucks too. Cant rap anymore. Rhymes blow. I'm not afraid to say it. But hip hop still on his wack @ss.

I stand by what I said and it was not born of ignorance. :W:
