Then I should punch him in the face, so he can pass it on. That dude's ego broke them up, and no doubt contributed to Dimebag being gunned down later by some random nutcase.

Grommit, your time is coming motherfucker! :o

But the rest of the band tried to no end to get Phil to get his head right. He got over inflated. It's not directly his fault, but he still hasn't repented to this day.
yeah ... just did a little more reading on the subject via wiki and it does seem that it was initially Anselmo who caused the rift but I still cant place ALL the blame on him . I do think it sucks that he wasnt allowed to come to Dimebag's funeral . Such a shitty fate for such a badass band . RIP

bro, possibly too into pantera.

you cats from texas that aint feelin' texas can stay where you at. we don't need you. that's another thing about us texans that you must learn my british bretheren is that you're either with us or ur not. but we will take you in and treat you right and try to convert you, so beware!

women. forget about it. no place compares. they're too tall/blonde/thin in cali. too covered up in new york. too leathery in florida. some of ours... beyonce's fine ass, jessica simpson, cute ass kelly clarkson, eva mendez, shannon elizabeth, jennifer garner just to name a few and we're not even talkin about the small town girls no one knows about.

food. another wrap. tex-mex owns and the authentic aint far behind.

weather. unbearable for three months out of the year but we got lakes and rivers and natural springs to cool you down in those months. in san antone we average 74 year round. can you beat that?

"south texas muthafucka thas where i stay!"

that's texas wrapped up in one line, baby!

Phil is a junky and a prick. Let's be honest. The whole white power thing isn't particularly becoming either.

I remember my sister was interested in this guy once and asked me...
"Do you think that guy over there is from Texas?"
I said, "if he was, he would have already told you! and if he's not, you don't wanna embarrass him."[/quote]

Qaulity

I'm originally from New Mexico, and as a rule we proud New Mexicans are not too crazy on Texans in general....always showing up on our ski slopes in their huge SUVS talkin' loud with a twang and thinking they run everything. Gets old. That said, I can think of fewer cool towns in the states than Austin, and my Mom's from Harlingen and my dad from Coleman (outside Abilene), so I guess I...am....really....decended...from....Texans! No!!!!

Nah, you guys are ok. Girls from Texas Tech wear too much make-up though, or they used to in the nineties.

Oh, and I was hanging out in Portland with I/O the other day and telling him that I can't understand ANYTHING Bob Grommit says on his DRAWL show.....he's the fastest drawl talker his side of the Mississippi.....but props to Grommit, it's a cool accent.

Being an addict is one thing thats kind of excusable in my book (Being friends with several people who have had fights with addiction) . I was not aware of Phil being a advocate of white power movements. I find that less excusable then the junky bit . But all Im saying is that I'm sure most of the arguments between the band were as Rex (bassist) said " a bunch of silly nonsense "
wikipedea wrote:Pantera bassist Rex Brown, widely known as being the one neutral voice in the matter, has repeatedly called the fued "a bunch of silly nonsense," and "just he-said she-said bullshit;" blaming both sides for the split.
Im assuming Rex's opinion on the matter is closer to the truth then what you would get from Phil or Vinnie Paul .
