Bouncing To Master in Logic

Post by MixTheVision » Thu Apr 12, 2012 4:05 am

So I've heard about the process of bouncing your track out of Logic and importing it back into Logic to mix and master it. Exactly what do you do once the track has been bounced and imported back into logic? (I don't have the full version with the mix/master studio).

edit: I see the MoneyShot thread and I'll check it out. But if I could get any more advice on this process and why it is done, please let me know. Thanks

That's a loaded question my friend. Look up mastering tutorials.

Linear eq
Multiband compression
Distortion/excites
Limiting

in logic they should be there... If not get your hands on a mastering plug in.

i personally dont think i have the skills or know how or equipment to master, so i usually just leave leave it as a mix down and no master. sometimes ill add some light compression and a tad of eq but thats about it. theres a guy on the first page offering masters for 10 quid. probably worth the money if your wanting to make a serious track.
