Soo,

If I want to compare my tracks to others. I

t is a good way to turn everything off on the master channel, and compare it to a pro track(ofcourse volume turned down to my track )

And if it sounds similar, I'm on the right track?

Louder does not automatically mean better.
I was laughing because it's such a simple concept that some people look for a work around, when it's the most obvious answer.

Oke So I did this to my track. Sounded quite good next to the "pro track"
But then the pain in the ass came back..

I can't get it as loud as the other track, and also full sounded.
Maybe using wrong plugins on the master?

what limiter do you guys recommend ?

Turn the volume up on your speakers.

Any limiter should be fine as long as it doesn't introduce any noise. I'm sure the stock one on your DAW is more than capable. The fatness you're after is from mastering and such. Limiting should get it a bit louder, but it'll more than likely be lacking the "oomph" you're looking for.
