Doesn't Auturia make a plug called Brass? I know somebody does cuz I remember reading about it, the one I read about wasn't free though.

Do any of these plugs ever make anything that sounds REAL though? I find the midi sound hard to escape when trying to imitate a real instrument...

Orchestral does sounds pretty good, only problem is that it doesn't save presets with your daw - you have to save them seperately. Apart from that its pretty nice. Another one is east west symphonic orchestra, i don't know much about it. And then there's always kontakt libraries which are actual recordings at multiple notes and velocities.
Re: trumpet, saxaphone, or flute vsts??
Orchestral imo is really good, especially if you play with the chorus and reverb settings along with messing with note velocity.grooki wrote:Do any of these plugs ever make anything that sounds REAL though? I find the midi sound hard to escape when trying to imitate a real instrument...

In no way is Orchestral realistic, and unless you want to spend a lot of money on a decent sample library (like East West) you won't get any sort of realism. But that's not to say it isn't useful, fuck loads of grime has been made using just Orchestral and a square bass.
