have an Aya brew and then see what your stance is on inter-dimensional beings/spirits/entities.

Right, so i'm about to take this way too seriously.
Think about the extremely limited part of the visual and audio spectrum that we can hear. There's lots of information that we can only pick up with special equipment, and i don't think it's that far of a stretch to say that there's more going on in the world than we can perceive, technology or not.

Taking a hallucinogenic drug wont really help determine what's real

that's why the brew is in a different league to other psychedelics. It lets you see more of what is real. I'm not saying people should dive in to it, more emphasizing the fact that plant spirit shamanism has been around for a long long time and the art reflected from the culture and the first hand experiences and accounts people have had all seem to point towards the effect that there are 'entities' that 'sit' on a different frequency outside of our 'constant' sensory-perceived frequency spectrum.

(what Killamike49 was hinting at)

It's true we aren't sensitive to a lot of different types of energy. Radio waves, radiation, sound, particles, etc. So it would make sense there is more going on that we know. Many dimensions where these things can actually been seen. Maybe that's where the ghosts lurk.

But no.

The last time I experienced a ghost was staying on a farm built in 1912 outside Graaff Reniet in the Great Karoo. Myself and about a dozen people were playing this game called murder in the dark. I'll spare the details but basically it involves turning out all the lights (which is pretty intense in the middle of a desert) and remaining as silent as possible while the unkown "murderer" kills his victim, after which the lights are turned back on and the assigned detective makes an investigation.

Basically, after fumbling through a long corridor for a bit I made my way into one of the main bedrooms which, bearing in mind when the house was built, was big enough to pass as a small flat, and sat down on the bed. I didn't see anything, but I was absolutely aware of an "other" in the room if that makes sense ( a bit like when someone's standing over your shoulder and you're not looking at them but you know they're there) and could here some rustling. Unperturbed, I continued moving about the house until the game followed its course and we all met again in the living room. Completely unaware of my strange experience on the bed, my step-mum proceeded to give a recount of how she walked in to the bedroom doorway but turned around and left because she saw there were already two people, one of which was a woman, sitting on the bed.

There was some light coming through the window behind me and I can be absolutely certain that I saw no one else on the bed, but because of this same light you would be able to make out the silhouette of someone sitting on the bed from the hallway.

Didn't sleep.

If anyone wants to call me out as childish for playing games fuck off and read the fort thread.

I have not. I believe that's because they don't exist.

On the drugs ting. When you hallucinate, your senses are just getting jumbled up and playing silly buggers no? You're seeing/feeling/hearing your own distorted perceptions of your senses, not something which is there which you couldn't perceive without drugs.

nah, lots more going on than internal silly buggers. with certain psychedelics, much of what you experience is acting externally and independently of you.

there are an increasing number of studies happening about what your brain is doing/tuning into /transmitting during these experiences.

the problem of proof lays within our measuring devices really. "you can't tune into a radio with a ruler"

its funky shit though. said it before but the truth is much much stranger than fiction and even our imagination.

If spirits actually exist, then why cant we find them with scientific instruments? If they give off some sort of energy then it could be easily measured.

It doesn't matter how hard you hallucinate, it does not make the experience any more real.
