And I mean it in a bad way.
I'm playing the track in Logic and the kick is fine, but in iTunes it's really bassy, too loud and overpowering.
Sound enhancer and Sound Check options in iTunes are off.
And in Soundcloud it doesn't sound as beefy...so it's definitely an iTunes thing

Oh for God's sake, what an idiot - I just realised I had 'bass booster' on the EQ on! NO IDEA why I would have done that as I absolutely hate adding any EQ on iTunes.
Questioning my intelligence right now.

And I've been A/B'ing with tracks in iTunes. Time to readjust my monitor settings then!

Why don't you just drag your tunes into your daw like a sample? Then you can look at it with EQs, spectral anazlyzers, and you'll be able to quickly mute it so you can judge your mixdown against it.massimoz wrote:And I've been A/B'ing with tracks in iTunes. Yup, easy mistake. i did the same but before leavin for a gig. I checked the mix on itunes and was like, hmmm a little bassy, ok, when i play this one id better turn the bass down on the mixer.
Of course when I played it it was less bassy AND i had turned the bass down. didnt clock on until 10 seconds into the drop... major fail.

Eugh, it has been. And this online sync storage website I used messed up and overwrote the latest version of a track I was working on yesterday. But finally got Time Machine to get back a decent version. And then got home at 4am instead of 1am from a bus crash, no money on my Oyster card (if you live in the UK) and bus drivers here not letting you pay with a £10, and there being no shops open at central London so having to BLAH BLAH BLAH!! Just a laughable day!
