MONTREAL - BASS CULTURE - JULY 14TH - W/ JAS NA$TY & DJ

Post by thehovsep » Sun Jun 17, 2007 7:13 pm

OHSHIT.

first installment of new Montreal monthly BASS CULTURE. we like bass.

Dubstep extravaganza on the first night with the resident DJs (myself aka TheHovsep) & Sebamaphone and mucho special guests JAS NA$TY from Ottawa and DJ Luv, of the Ninja Tune Office.

the next months will stir shit up with Electro, Bmore, Baile, Hip Hop, Rap, Jungle, Breakcore, IDM, House, other class-a fancy shit. Basically everything with an emphasis on the low-end.

despite the fact we be playin' mostly dubstep, we'll try to keep it real on the gangsta end and play as much thugstep as possible.

So the breakdown might go a lil' like this.

10:00 - 10:45 Seb (dubstep)
10:45 - 11:30 Hovsep (dubstep/crunk/chopped and screwed)
11:30 - 12:30 Sweet daddy luv (dubstep)
12:30 - 1:30 Jasmine (dubstep/all kinds of bass)
1:30 - whenever mofomophonics (electro/bmore/baile/crunkshit)

Is there something later this month and in August?
I'm looking for dubstep nights in Montreal.

Is the dubstep scene in Montreal doing well? (except Mutek)
I went home for xmas holidays and nothing much.
Far from home, I'm enjoying the Tokyo scene. (ce n'est pas Londres mais la scene japonaise a pas mal de bonnes soirees)

Hope the bass will be good in Montreal.

A bientot!

yo,
there will be something with intocc on the 28th of july.
i believe the crazy dudes on dck will be
Intocc, the Komodo guys?, myself, and Kiffah... someone correct me if i am wrong.
should be fire...

but for now! sprinkle a little party on your dubstep and a little dubstep on your partying!
let us all come in perfect unity and appreciate the cavernous low ends of kode9 as much as the thunderous booms of BMore and Baile Funk!
whoo.

seriously though, this one should be a lot of fun, come with an open mind, your dancing shoes and a change of underwear for when your bowels will fail.
big tings.

Does people know Goth Trad (Japan)?
He's looking to tour in North America and why not stopping in Montreal?
I would like to meet you guys and eventually help him or other djs from Japan to come to Montreal.

J'ai hâte de voir si mes homies aiment le dubstep. :)
