DIY Acapella's

Post by CuriousKontrol » Sun Apr 29, 2012 9:56 am

Just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction of making a half decent DIY acapella as I've started this remix below with just the original track in I've tried to EQ the vocals out by high passing and low passing the track to make the vocals a bit more prominant but it's not really working. I got some decent ideas in my head for this remix but I can't get it up to scratch without the acapella :(

Can someone point me in the right direction or if anyone is good at making these, make an acapella of the track for me? (The track is Porter Robinson - Language)

Thanks :)

Unless you can get a instrumental of the tune, I think it will be hard to get a decent sounding acapella..

ideally you want a cd single with the instrumental on it (gasp spending money) NOT AN MP3 TORRENT RIP
you want lossless audio aka wav or aiff (never tried with flac come to think of it)
you need to line the instrumental up EXACTLY with the normal version
flip the phase on the instrumental and thru the magic of phase cancellation you will be left with just the acapella
you more than likely will be left with some artifacts or bleed thru from instruments as well
but that's how you do it
honestly i need to do it with el-p fantastic damage and cannibal ox the cold vein since i have both the original lp cds and the instrumental cds and never seen any acapellas floating around for em

doctor deadly's note: results may vary
