Massive Question

I notice in almost all the Massive tutorials I watch that whenever a setting is adjusted the resulting sound plays in correspondence with the adjustment. Was wondering if anyone knows how to do this so I don't have to keep going back and forth from the piano roll to test the sound?

Simple, open massive at the top left there is a little box that looks like a gear, click that.Go to settings tab, visual box and check the "don't allow keyboard focus" should be able you play notes constantly and tweak as needed.

Just realized you can play the piano roll on your keyboard lol. Next quetion would be is there any way to assign specific chords to the keys?

Yeah you sure can but you'd be a fracking geek doing so. There are vst's for this. They accept key presses, and they output midi info in chords to be sent to other synths. So you could set up like 6 chords and just rip through your verses and chorus just pressing one button at a time.

Also not to be over looked, just sample those chords, and put them in a sampler, now you have a second technique at one note triggering chords.

What you could of course do as well is tune your oscillators, ie. if you want to have a saw pad play a minor chord on the key you press, tune one oscillator to the root (0, or 12 or -12 or whatever), one to minor third (3, or 15 or -9 or you know) and one to the fifth (not really needed but it fills the chord out, 7 or 19 or -5 etc.).

And then you can modulate the pitch of each oscillator to get different chords... like I said, you could really nerd out, but why?
