They need to be formatted as before and after.

Technically, weren't all our first setups just computers?
That's what I think of when I think "First setup".

Nope. First was a tascam 4 track. Then an adat, then an asrx pro, THEN a computer.

My first set up consisted of a pc running cubase, akai z8,access virus c desktop,a yamaha 16 channel mixing desk and a big old shitty midi keyboard. All of which i couldn't use because i didn't have a clue. The only thing i still have from my first setup is my motu 828 soundcard.

thats a safely legit home studio. i always like to see people using CRTs instead of LCDs, since it makes the bass warmer. seriously though, that looks nice.
and it hasnt been stolen yet?! In rochester?

you would probably get better acoustics if you switch the decks with your computer

Old schoooool! Its crazy how times have changed, really wasn't long ago that flatscreens even existed let alone a laptop.
In the process of sorting out my first setup back home ready for the summer off uni. Brought an m-audio oxygen 25 and numark mixtrack pro around christmas, decided very quickly i wanna go all out so got some 1210s.. been building up a vinyl collection since then and completely redoing my bedroom back home.
