HOW TO GET MORE PLAYS

Does anyone know how to get substantial plays on your tracks posted on youtube and soundcloud? I post on the forums and such but nothing seems to really work

I've seen shit tunes with tons of views and quality tunes with little to no views. Writing sick tunes doesn't guarantee more views. It'll help you get some promo from blogs and youtube channels and what not, but you can also do the promo yourself.

There are companies in asia that will get you 100,000 views in a month for the cost of a pair of shoes.

Some ways I've come across.

1. Post more in the forum
2. Comment more in the dubs section and leave feedback for other people
3. Share tunes on facebook

and the number one biggest factor issssss....

Write better tracks, or to put it another way, write tracks that more people will like (yup you've started down that dark path of selling out, don't worry people will only mention it after you've become successful )

Write better tunes, then learn how to use Twitter's search capabilities to find people into similar things as your music.

dont over promote.
artists who constantly blag peoples heads with links to songs and stuff, will just get deleted or ignored most of the time.
promote in the right places and if your tunes are good enough then word of mout will carry you a long way from there.

If you just want views and don't care how genuine they are, about building a genuine fan base and growing in popularity as you grow as an artist.

or you know write tunes and gain word of mouth enough that people just want to listen to your tunes with next to know promo

amazing considering i have a free account/regularly delete tunes that have thousands of views and the limit of my promo is a sig on here and maybe at max 1 or 2 links to my personal facebook and 1 to my artist one

A good tip would be to collab with a more established artist. Find someone near your skill level that produces songs you like to hear, and contact them, see if you can get the ball rolling. Do not flake though, I'm sure that gets around.

buy the soundcloud pro account, methodically join groups that have a lot of members, send the track to the groups, un spammy way to get more views. the more you do your research and find the active groups the better your results will be.
