Re: The Reaper Q&A Thread
Just tried that, didn't work. Maybe it's because it's only the demo version of Reaper?

Re: The Reaper Q&A Thread
That shouldn't matter, I used it with the demo as well some time ago..
I assume you have the controller set up as "Enabled+Control" in your preferences? (This is only needed for MIDI In, MIDI Out should be disabled for the Oxygen)
I'm not using any premade template in the "Control Surfaces" section of preferences either.

Re: The Reaper Q&A Thread
Yeah it is. I'll try re-installing Reaper or something later cause I don't have any idea what could be causing it.

Re: The Reaper Q&A Thread
I use an Oxygen25 with Reaper fine. I don't know what could be causing the issue. It's worked with the demo version aswell because there are no limitations in the demo. In a little while I'll have a look through preferences and see if i can spot what it might be. Make sure you have the device enabled in Midi devices in the control pannel and go ask on the reaper forums.

Hi guys, Im using Reaper 4 on my dads laptop (atm), I don´t have a midikeyboard so Im just drawing in everything by hand...Ive got a massive synth set up on one of the tracks. How do I automate the "mod wheel" by hand? Please let me know as I would love to get on with writing my song. Thanks guys

Make sure you know the mod wheel's MIDI item name too. Might be MW, MdWl, etc.
Re: The Reaper Q&A Thread

Re: The Reaper Q&A Thread
1. Is it possbile to color whole blocks instead of the waveform inside those blocks?
2. How to get the color in mixer channel to be as bright as the waveform color in sequencer?
3. Using the Render/freese tracks function in Reaper to render a sequence from Reason, only gives partially recorded file. Basically only first half of the loop gets recorded. And ideas why?

Re: The Reaper Q&A Thread
1&2 are linked to sws extensions if I'm not mistaken.
Get Evildragon's color toolbar, it's quite nifty.

Not sure about the Reason issue.
Have you selected a timebased render?
Maybe your time selection is shorter than the recording you are going for.

Re: The Reaper Q&A Thread
Just check and make sure you have it set to entire project or time selection.
If it's set to a custom time range it could cause the problem you mentioned.
Otherwise I wouldn't know.

Re: The Reaper Q&A Thread
I'm using Reaper to mixdown a friend's band's tunes. It's going alright so far. But the vocal tracks have a lot of room static and noise.
What I want to do is sample JUST the parts with room static and no vocals, past them for the entire length of the song and then inverse the polarity to get rid of some of the of the static in the vocal tracks. What would be the best way to do that?

Re: The Reaper Q&A Thread
You can use reFIR (one of the native plugins) It's a bit of a beast of a plugin, and one of it's uses is noise subtraction. you can sample a noise profile from the track and then subtract that profile from the audio. read about it hereGenevieve wrote:I'm using Reaper to mixdown a friend's band's tunes.
