Anthony Williams aka Addison Groove started out life under a different pseudonym altogether, that of Headhunter, under which he achieved legendary status within the dubstep scene. With an LP and 12” releases on the influential Tempa label stretching back to 2007, his work at the deeper end of the dubstep spectrum has graced the label an impressive 7 times, a figure matched only by luminaries such as Skream & Horsepower Productions. This work looked set to continue until 2010 when, seemingly out of nowhere, he crafted one of the biggest bass music tracks of the decade, ‘Footcrab’, under the new name of Addison Groove. The response to ‘Footcrab’ was phenomenal, receiving critical and commercial success in equal measure across the dance music scene. Getting plays not only from the dubstep DJs that Williams was used to reaching, it also found its way into the record boxes of techno and house heavyweights such as Surgeon, Ricardo Villalobos and Mr Scruff, bringing an enormous new audience to his music in the process. Taking influences from the Chicago ghetto tek and juke scenes, Addison Groove’s impact on UK bass music has been colossal and unprecedented, sparking a huge interest in these styles from his peers and the listening public alike. Progressing at a breakneck pace, he was quick to develop a live 808 show which has graced some of the finest nightclubs in the world including Fabric, London and Berlin’s infamous Berghain. With his hectic touring schedule including USA, Australia, New Zealand, Asia and numerous dates in Europe, he continues to bring his hybrid sound to captivated audiences across the globe.

t's not common for an artist based in Wales to become the toast of underground music, but Doc Daneeka is just that. With releases on Ramp, Fabric, PTN, & Well Rounded in the bag, Doc Daneeka has started his own boutique label, Ten Thousand Yen, releasing other fresh artists like CRST, Julio Bashmore as well as his own unique material. Bookings all around Europe at the end of last year solidified Doc Daneekas energetic DJ sets as one of the most sought after performances by clubs all around the world.
If UK Funky is to escape its zeitgeist and enjoy the same kind of longevity as the genres it makes a living from distilling, it will need producers like this. The Welshman's been dropping hints of subtle flair ever since his track "Drums in the Deep" appeared on Fabric's Elevator Music back in January, and now with only a handful of remixes and a single EP under his belt, seems to have hit an early maturity with "Hold On."
Delivering scorching mixes for the likes of Fact Mag & Xlr8r, trademark rattling drums and punchy low end characterise this producers unclassifiable DJ sets, as well as countless unreleased dubs.
Doc Daneeka makes some of the best house music around right now - with peers in Hackman, Roska and Julio Bashmore, he favours syncopated beats and polyrhythms over linear drive, and has remixed Delphic, Digital Mystikz and more in the past to great effect. His releases for PTN have shown eight slabs of colourful house almost impossible to avoid getting physical to. Doc Daneeka is delivering the goods, while wearing the weight of internet expectation. Uk Dance music's health and sound has never been so rude.

Morgan Helefante aka Wolf Bitch is a SF promotion work horse, working for the Filmore and YBR Promotions, she has helped connect the underground SF bass music scene city wide. Morgans love for music is large and her taste is top notch, being a fast learner, she picked up DJing naturally. Morgan has been rockin SF's bass scene for the last couple years with all the top bass crews in the 415 and 510, and has opened for just about everyone you can think of. She also has a production company of her own called Helefante, and is throwing a huge 3 day camp out in Belden CA called Fractalize, boasting the one and only E-40 as the headliner...for two nights in a row!!! The girl knows whats up. And we here at Grimey are stoked to have her out to rock with us on this awesome night. Dont miss her, shes got some tunes up her sleave!
