he's put up a bunch of free downloads in the last year or so too, fucking guy :Q: :corndance:
Yeah its fucking sick! Haven't bought a 2012 release apart that though.
Yes mate, the album is proper good. "Climbing A Tree" is a highlight, I'm hearing Rustie influences on "Mountains Come Out Of The Sky" which is never a bad thing.

It was released towards the end of last December, i think that's close enough to warrant a place on the list?

Access to Arasaka - Geosynchron.

If you know Access, then you know why it's amazing.

Finally started listening to the Actress' RIP. Got through 6 tracks before I got completely bored. Didn't like his other two either. Man has put out some great EPs though.
On another note, Burzum's Umskiptar album is pretty sick.

Right, added Slugabed and Jimmy Edgar to the list. Personally not big at all on Jimmy Edgar's album from what I've heard. Been some mentioning of a couple of recent "bass" albums starting to sound really generic. Not saying I agree with that, but if that is the case this one is certainly the most generic yet imho. Another so-so album for Hotflush after 'Personality'.
The first three tracks are especially flat and of putting , though after that, things do seem to pick up considerably.

I won't add Burzum to the list, I know one should seperate between musician as a person and his "works of art' (I personally love Filosofem). But in light of his recent vile remarks in regards to the situation with Breivik, I simply refuse. People going through the thread will bump into the post I suppose.

Same goes for Geosynchron: the CD was already out before the second week of December, if it, for example had been released the 28th, I would have reconsidered. But again, it got mentioned here and yes it IS a good album. I've just ordered the new Cooly G album, curious how that will sound.

Also, Death Grips supposedly cancel their entire tour (both EU as US dates). Bummed, was going to see them twice :( . Announced on FB, seems to be some debate whether it is a hoax or not, I'm sure we'll know on Monday when organisers start sending out info whether shows are still on or not.

Apologies, it is now though :) . This is what happens when you write review for a website, manage your own blog and also try to keep this thread up to date. CONFUSION!!!

Download the free EP from 2010: http://guards.bandcamp.com/album/guards-ep

I know.. I know.. 2011. December 6, 2011 to be exact; but most of you guys haven't heard them. Do yourself a favor! Good summer jams! I believe they are releasing a full LP this year.

You know what, that guy actually makes sense a lot of the time. Usually there's always at least something I can agree on when watching his vids.
But the way he butchered the Actress album was unforgivable: I mean, there's nothing wrong with not liking it for the right reason. But to call it a collection of underdeveloped idea's is just wrong.

updated with JK Flesh - Posthuman (3by3). A glorious return to form for Justin K. Broadrick after that mediocre final Jesu release and that insecure sounding Pale Sketcher material.
This is relentless stuff. CD/digital out now and shipping everywhere, vinyl version expected end of May.

I really really hate him. Mainly for one reason. THE FUCKING GLITCHY EDITS. Seriously it's so annoying

He's got a dumb voice and comes across like a bit of a hipster and says stuff that isn't exactly correct sometimes but all of that wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for the stupid edits and loops and shit.

I agree on the internet meme stuff he's doing, like the glitchess etc. : he deserves at least a bullet in the knee cap for that. As far as the hipster thing goes: Agreed as well, though I always figured it was a bit of an irony play on the hipsters. But his words in itself are certainly not more hipster than say your average Pitchfork review though.

Not the best comparison if you're arguing against his obvious hipsterisms haha
