Is UKG still popular in the UK?/UKG track exchange thread
Being from Canada, I missed the Golden UKG Era of the early and late 90's. I actually want to know if clubs in the UK still play, or if there are clubs dedicated to the UKG sound?
I also think this thread could be used as a back and forth for sharing old Garage and Speed Garage tracks.
Since I'm starting I'll but I'm posting from my phone, I can't directly link the YouTube video. But the song is Dreem Team's remix of Amar's song: "Sometimes it Snows in April".

Fuck future garage.
Garage isn't huge anymore although it'd be easy enough to find an old school night in london/Leeds/Manchester etc.
Up north baseline is still pretty big all though that's winding down a bit, uk funky is doing all right but not huge.
If you want old style garage as it was in the uk at the best starting point are the Pure Garage compilations mixed by EZ.

I would say that you won't get pure UKG nights really unless you go to the mentioned cities above (although Glasgow did have a strictly garage night on recently, tasteful stuff mind - no 'sweet like chocolate'). But I do hear a lot of UKG getting played in sets up here. A lot of it is 4x4, not so much 2step. When I play out its probably about 50% UKG and 50% other shit.
