People are stupid.

I was on this other forum, they were talking about the "Dubstep Invasion". Obviously, they mentioned Skrillex.
I said that wasn't Dubstep, it was Brostep, and linked this track:

Some guy said this;

"I'm sorry, but what the sh*t is this? A 3 minute track of snare drums and someone pressing random keys on a synth is real dubstep, but Skrillex, who basically defines the genre, isn't? To me, that sounds kinda like saying "Slayer isn't real metal, The Beatles is""

Mine too, I felt bad for him when the country guy just wouldn't listen to him at all

He wouldn't be country if he did.

Is it impossible for people to fucking like both? holy shit.

There are ignorant people everywhere, get over it.

Dudes are probably listening on laptop speakers, to be completely honest I didn't get the appeal of "true" dubstep until I bought a subwoofer, then I understood :Q:

I think it's simply that, not everyone has good audio nor cares enough about music to pay for it. Sad truth.

This.

People need to stop justifying how 'dubstep' they are..

Has there ever been a demand for christmas-themed brostep? What possible situation would that be an appropriate thing to listen to?

Seriously.

My current playlist contains tracks from Kromestar, Plastcian, Bar9, Skream, and Skrillex. Bite me.

LOL yah, their inner monologue probably went something like... "the fuck is this shit"
it seemed like they were enjoying themselves more in the later clips though, like when they were all recording the claps/talking bits.

I just watch the whole movie, so great. Really funny watching the 2 generations come together to make a new sound. Looked like they all had an absolute blast, except maybe crystal method and pretty lights haha

I'm not saying I don't like some Brostep, I just know there's a difference between it and Dubstep. They barely sound anything alike.

It's how many people think Skrillex made Dubstep that makes me think that. It doesn't really bother me, it's kind of funny.
