Last time I was on the forum here there was the "other music" forum, and it is now gone. Is this where people are posting their non-dubstep mixes? Or are people just creating links in the SNH?

Ez all,

I've entered a competition to play at a festival here in Chicago called Spring Awakening. The winner gets to play on one of the main stages with the likes of Skrillex, Avicii, Flux P, etc. I know, I know... so I want to do some edumacation for the kids. Did this mix in one take. It's a bit upfront but I want to rep a wider spectrum of the sound. So anyway, listen to the mix, vote if you want, and spread it around if you're so inclined. Thanks DSF.

Oi oi.

I have noticed this a lot these days, producers are becoming a little formulaic in their beat programming. That aint to say their tunes aint great but a lot of beats have become slightly standardised. I know there's a tonne of examples of producers that are doing different things with their beats though and this mix is a homage to that.

Percussion is peng.

This mix is a tribute to those who are going the extra mile with their percussive work. It includes examples of subtle rhythmic progression right up to those tracks that are just an all out percussive wank.

The mix is up for a limited time on soundcloud as I need the space for new tracks but it is up for dl whilst the mix is online. Enjoy and let me know what you think. Planning to do a series of these mixes so if you have any suggestions on amazing percussive tracks or want to include one of your own tracks gimme a shout.
