L-vis 1990 - Club Constructions Vol 1? What do you think?

What do you think?

What do i think, first thing that comes to mind is

what went wrong? Did i miss something? Really not feeling this, and feel it's a bit of a let down for a Nightslugs release, a couple of them hurt my ears so much i had to turn them off. Girl Clap isn't too bad.

I think i'm probably missing the point of it, because it feels repetitive and noisy, can't appreciate it fully!

Nightslugs releases are amazing so don't get me wrong, just surprised at this one.

What do you guys think?
You purchased it?

I got it, cos its sick, and they are club bangers, and I love the weird sounds. I think thats why they released it as a different line of 12"s, they are feeling feeling and just pushing stripped down club tracks lately, but it wouldnt feel right to release pure club tracks on the standard label. They are really made to be listened to at home. It's just techno a the end of the day aint it.

i do see what youre saying,
though
these are built for peak-time. just straight djfriendly bangers. they wouldnt be such if they werent repetitive and noisy heh
purchase would be for the sole purpose of playing out at clubs etc. (unless you can tolerate this kind on the daily)
not appropriate for the home unless you have a crackin parrtaaayyy

i think the thing your missing is - mindless self indulgence :)
get smashed, hear it in a mix (or mix it yourself), and try to tell me youre NOT moving

personally i like the fact that they dedicated effort into a new series whether people like it or not. keeps them fresh and afloat
not many labels have this versatility
quite excited to see what the rest of the NS crew have to contribute

all in all, if you dont feel it, you dont feel it. no harm against ya

Chin-strokers who can't remember why they fell in love with electronic music are the only people who aren't feeling these. Throwing shapes to weird sounds and smiling as you do it.

Sick EP... Video Drone's a proper thumper.

got this in yesterday. i like it, both the sound and the concept.

part of me wishes there was some sort of cover art, but part of me respects the function of how it arrives. just gonna have to label it by hand, big man style

sorry, mispoke. label has artwork, yes. looks good.
outer cardboard jacket is blank white with no holes to show the label. figured it was a minimal aesthetic thing.

Big release.
As someone else stated, these are straight dj tools and shouldn't be viewed as anything else.
Video Drone and Hard drive are the ones. Can def see those setting it off at peak time.

ay bok bok, now that l-vis is back to making super-raw club tracks, can you tell him to get off his arse and release "the bird" now?

i know it wouldn't have fit with his forever you/neon dreams type deal, but it could easily go on one of these

I'VE BEEN WAITING THREE YEARS
The Plc Soundcloud
Feedback appreciated.

tracks are a bit too similar but they do go off
very good value for when you consider 5 tracks for 5/6 quid on vinyl
you're not wrong, you're just an asshole
