This thread has led me through a range of expectations:-
- Hmmm bit of a different question but one that I guess should be asked
- Oh, Spam hmmmmm nah
- Wait, this is actually quite interesting
- Looks like I've found my next read!

Now I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to poor use of the English language on the internet, but you're launching a book here! Proof-read your shit! Your OP has colloquialisms, poor punctuation, dangling modifiers, the works. Even casual promotions on forums should be spiffy - after all, you're trying to stand out too, right?

It's rare that I'll say read a book on another completely different subject, but I think it kind of parallels the aspiring music producer
I was fortunate enough to win a copy of this during Ludum Dare 48 and honestly read it front to back in one sitting
The Game Jam Survival Guide
While this covers a game programming jam or competition a lot of it parallels what producers do and how to be more efficient and get noticed (which honestly can be applicable to any entertainment industry)
It can also be kind of compared to say a sample contest on here or a 48 hr contest on here and the techniques in this book could easily be adapted to music production (what's also funny is most people who partake in these contests make their own music as well)
anyways blah blah blah, good stuff to read and learn from
KNOWLEDGE IS POWER!

I was actually really excited to pick this up as well, but 50 bucks for an ebook?

apologies you feel let down mate. The guide's aim is just to give you a better understanding of the concepts before buying, and there is still some useful information in there that many will learn from...JTMMusicuk wrote:the free version started out looking like it was gunna be decent then it quickly descended into lots of bullet points that dont get answered...hmmm
if you subscribe to the blog there is still last few hours of 25% discount going on ebook...

The feedback from readers has been amazing. Pretty much everyone saying it covers exactly what they need to know. For those wanting a better snapshot of the book I've made a snappier free guide going over the key concepts
