Re: How to recreate megalodon's basses?
lol this threat!.. first off no one is original were all ripping someone off, you can trace the origins of dubstep so far up its own ass you wont be able to tell where anything came from really.. im really surprised no ones brought King Tubby into this.
I'm also surprised that not 1 person has mentioned Reason.. Me, Badklaat, Requke, Jakes, ect.. we all use reason. And tbh alot of the explanations of how to make these types of bassnoises are complete over kill and only causes more confusion. My best advice is to start from the basics and master that.. Take things slowly and learn about proper synthesis. And probably the most important thing is dont jump in the studio with a set idea. Jam out first.. if you force a noise it wont sound as good as a noise that just came from you messing about. The only times i ever come up with something truly unique it isnt when im trying to copy someone else... Its more like "what would happen if i did this"?

Re: How to recreate megalodon's basses?
THANK FUCK. A straight answer, only took a fucking month and the fucking man himself. Wasn't exactly a controversial question people. I was aware that badklaat and requake used reason, didn't know you also used it. I muck around with thor and subtractor sometimes, I've never really got to grips with it as well as I have with logic and synths like albino and massive. Anyways, good tips, big ups sinjin yeah
