I'm not in London but it's only 40 minutes to the centre of London (and then another 15-20 minutes to System). More than welcome at mine if the London couchninjas are all filled up (I think they already have like 20 people between them  ).

Maybe... maybe. My area is soo dry though. Holla at me next week if you haven't found anywhere more interesting. Oh, and would you and your mate mind sleeping together?

Can anyone remember how many northern ninjas i've got coming after system?

Ok, bumping this thread from the advice of another user. I'm looking to find a place to stay close to central London from May 28 to early August (!!) -- obviously, some sort of rent/pay is in order. I'll be working as an intern for a record label during this time so hopefully as a form of compensation I can at least introduce you to Mala and the crew and get you some tickets. I'm a US university student and I'll be using funds from a research fellowship I've received. As part of the fellowship, I'll be filming a 30 min. dubstep documentary.

If you're down or have questions about what I'll be doing as an intern, feel free to PM me. I know this is a shot in the dark, but if you're into the dubstep community, this could be a fun summer for the both of us. Let me know!

Last time I spoke with the label manager, they were just getting back from Leeds... He made it sound like an all-night affair. I imagine I'll be getting done quite late some nights, and the 2 hrs 30 min train ride (google maps?) might be a bit too much. But I know DEEP MEDi will be doing a few more nights in Leeds while I'm in London, so I'll eventually make it up there!

I would look back on this thread and find the London folk that have offered their places up, PM them and politely inform them of your situation.

On a more serious note, if you still haven't found a place by late May (ie right before you get here) and are desperate for some place to stay at, you're welcome at mine. Downside would be that it's not in London, but it's only 40 min from the centre of London by train. Would be more than happy to put you up for at least a couple weeks as I don't expect the place will be rented out till mid-June (you can house-sit till I get a tenant in). It will be fairly basic though as I'm moving down to Bristol round about then.

Good idea -- I'll give this another day or two to let everyone see it, then I'll work back and start getting in touch with people.

Thanks guys -- if I don't find anything by the 20th, I'll be in touch.

Really appreciate the help here folks!

Just heard about this http://www.airbnb.com/

Look at that, all perfectly indexed b&b's. Doesn't seem to be any bullshit on there.
Everything from rooms to entire apartments.

That site looks amazing. Big look. I am most definitely going to be using it over summer. I'll report back with results.
