dubstep as a scene is de-flating (thank god),

people are hyping house now which im bored of hearing too,

such is the predictability of the highs and lows of electronic music...

Well, he still has one song in the top 10 on spotify. Not too bad, but yeah, I think the hype around dubstep is going away.

Obviously, I cant speak for any other places, but around where I live it seems like dubstep is not as big anymore as it was.

man this generation is so lucky...I can only imagine the insane videos that I would have made if I had access to dubstep and youtube when I was 11...

the whole urban music movement over the last few years for me at least is grinding to a halt, i.e. dubstep/garage revival/minimal dnb, mainly because the artists have taken it as far as it could realistically go, now the market for this type of music has gone global, but the scene is at least here in london- from my perspective is turning to more traditional genres like house and a bit of techno influnced a little by 80s funk through such as artists as dam funk...

u can see it in that annoyingly popular magazine RA, producers and djs trying to tailor their sounds, identites and brands towards a more 4/4 vibe with hints of their past urban background.

but for me at least i am the opposite, i liek house as much as anyone else but im not going to hype the lastest soul clap release just because they are the "in-sound", i judge a record on whether it appeals to me, not whether it is charted in the lasted swamp flush beatport chart. so i am overall indifferent to the constant changing of "fashion trends" within electronic music.

Borgore delivers a tear-out "dark and ominous" guest mix. Borgore is Asaf Borger. He is an Israeli producer who has built his own record label and his own name in the dubstep community. Of all the dubstep D.J.’s that exist in music today, his style is vastly different than his other affiliates in that his beats are a lot darker. His style as been self-proclaimed as “Gorestep” because of his dark and gritty beats. It’s interesting to know that before Borger became known as Borgore, he was in a handful of metal bands; therefore, it seems fitting that he has gravitated toward the darker side of dubstep.
