SpaceBass @ Meter - 26.05.12 - Mr Beatnick & MYSTRY GST

Post by ctop80 » Mon May 21, 2012 2:07 pm

SpaceBass return to the newly refurbished upstairs bar at the CAMP on City Road ( http://thecamplondon.com/ ) to rock the party and bring the noise. As well as our usual sexual residents, Liamski and CTOP we have a special guest about whom all will be revealed soon... (mystery, oooh).

So, grab a cocktail and hit the floor.

- Mr Beatnick (Don't Be Afraid) -

A long-time friend of SpaceBass and one of the deepest diggers in the game, Nick goes from strength to strength. His sets swerve between odd Hungarian library jazz and stripped down jackin house, but he never forgets what makes a dancefloor move. The epic 'Synthetes' release got repeat play on BBC Radio 1 and is included on Paul Woolford's upcoming double CD, while the recent Sun Goddess EP has had the same level of support across the board from GP to Bok Bok to Andy Blake and garnering a 4 star RA review in the process. And we know there's more like that in the pipeline! A legend.

Watch him chat about records here: http://www.factmag.com/2012/04/26/recor ... -beatnick/

- Jett

Jett is a new producer and DJ who has been gradually rising up in the world of dance music, getting plays of his 140bpm material on MistaJam’s show and gaining attention for his slower housey material too. It was his housier productions that brought him to the attention of Andy George and Jaymo and you can expect to see material from Jett appearing on their Moda Black label very soon. We look forward to welcoming him to SpaceBass on May 26.

- Special Guest... (...)

Our secret guest is a name you will certainly have heard of if you're into underground/electronic music to any degree, having released a couple of full lengths on a well known European label in the last couple of years and having more recently begun a dj career at some of Europe and London's bigest and well known clubs. We just can't tell you who it is (maybe some clues over the next week or so).

Here's some lovely musics to get you in the mood:
