I like this one. It's exactly what you'd expect from Yunx really, isn't it?

Yeah... but that's not always such a bad thing. You have to remember this is his first solo release, he's not looking to push himself out of his comfort zone because he hasn't really established himself one yet (as a producer, not a dj obviously). It's just a good dubstep tune. Deep and dark. Nothing wrong with that at all.

which dubstep producer tends to surprise you? the only name coming to my mind is kahn. and btw there isn't that much stuff out on that tip imo. youngsta just started playing that more tribal, 4x4, etc stuff some months ago and now finally some of these tunes are coming out. if you listen back to shows from last year's spring it's 90% halfstep.

for his first solo production this tune is superb. You have to take that into account.
He will have had a lot of help, influence and advice from numerous heads but he's done this on his own. Look at some producers who have been about a few years and some of their first tracks and look how far they have come. If this is only the start I can't wait for some of his future beats.
The tune itself is sick. Minimal just like the sound he pushes and trust me i've heard this on the Iration rig. I was stood there stomping my feet and completely lost myself in the dance. Cannot wait to own this piece of music!

You know what, I get that. I mean, the tune itself is a little underwhelming, and we've all heard tons of tunes just like it. But, I'm still feeling it. Not sure why though.

Cos it's just a great dubstep tune. Nothing more, nothing less. I think people focus too much sometimes on things having to be groundbreaking or experimental. Don't get me wrong, I can see how styles/scenes can get stale when there's not enough experimentation etc. but my point is sometimes it's good to just have a great dubstep tune or a great techno or house tune, no frills, just classic vibes.
And Yunx probably has a better understanding than most about how to execute a great deep and dark dubstep tune, it's the style he's immersed himself in for years so it's no wonder he's good at it.

I don't understand why people are calling this a dungeon track, it sounds like it has a more tribaly sound to it.
