So is Kromestar trying to get picked up by Rottun or..
Re: So is Kromestar trying to get picked up by Rottun or..
^And that divides the good bro with the bad IMO. But the majority of high quality bro productions have plnety of sub. Maybe slightly less because of other higher basses around too, but still subby.

bro is bassy, but it doesnt have sub.
far too much going on in the other frequencies to even allow for real sub bass

tbh man, bro definitely has sub. It just isn't sub-driven or centered around the sub - it concentrates way too much on the midrange. But it has sub bass, trust. I've run skrillex tunes through a frequency analyzer before, and there's a whole lotta shit going on in the 50hz area.

Love some of those early Launch EPs, some great tracks in that series. Wouldnt even necessarily call it brostep as you know that term today, had some level of control in their aggression which i appreciated. Label kinda lost me whenever Vaski had his first release......

Sub bass isn't the only defining factor of which makes a track bro or tearout. A tearout tune still has that level of space and swing in the beat.
+ rottun rec isn't even close to the most disliked label on the board. some of their earlier releases are heavy.

Most of you need to get over yourselves and realize you only like that tune because Kromestar produced it.
I like it. But I also listen to Datsik, Ajapai, Downlink, Liquid Stranger, FS, etc. and can realize that it's not that much different once you get past all these obligatory labels and subgenres.

Let's not be hating on Kromestar now he's still an absolute badman...doesn't make sense to write him off after one gash tune

Like I've said multiple times in this thread, kromestar is in my top 5 favorite producers.
In fact I have more tunes by kromestar than any other artist. even after quality controlling a lot of it.
I actually like noiz, but i realize it DOES sound like what most of you guys call bro. So I found it odd. And thought it would be amusing to how many of you would get all defensive as soon as it gets compared to "bro".

let's settle this right here, right now.
kromestar is a don, you are allowed to like whatever music you want.
bro's won't even know this tune, bro's won't even hear this tune, and too me, that's what makes the difference, bro's hear rottun recordings, bro's wanna shit all up on there mummaz grills whilst listening to rottun recordings, rottun recordings is the bro's bible prologue

the sub on the growler feels super heavy, i really like it. Noiz.. im gonna have to side with joeki, mids are wayyy to present, the drums do sound pretty cool i guess, but nothing special.. and the bass sounds super generic...

I don't care if it has enough bass to take down London Bridge, it has enough mids to give me a headache and that's a bad thing. Growler is wicked though.

The beat is a fucking banger, the mid synth not so much. Nothing but love for the man that made kalawanji. Proper captured a moment, don't think noiz is quite on that level.

Re: So is Kromestar trying to get picked up by Rottun or..
I would of thought it was clear by now that kromestar makes whatever the fuck he wants. He's got so many different sounds and styles. Personally loving Noiz, on a system it's massive!

Re: So is Kromestar trying to get picked up by Rottun or..
Kromestar is a fucking don producer with countless massive tunes which vary, he has chilled out tunes.. tearout and stuff in the middle. The 'bro' producers usually tend to dish out the same amateur made dog shit in every tune. The difference with the mid-range bro stuff and mid-range tearout is tearout keeps the sub-bass so you can feel it when its played on a system.sn0wday wrote:The point of this thread was not to hate on Noiz, but point out how bias and hypocritical most of this forum is.
Post midrange-y tune by midrange-y bro prodycer --> Tune gets hated on.
Post midrange-y tune by deep, old school producer ---> "Nahh man you just need to hear it on a system" giantsoundsystem.jpeg
Don't add up.
I like Noiz and actually I'm quite surprised theres so many that aren't feeling it.. so that kinda proves your point wrong about this forum being bias and hypocritical. Theres plenty of people not feeling it. They don't slag him off for this one tune they aren't feeling because he has a ridiculous backcatalogue of great tunes. Bro producers do not, so they get slagged off cause they just continuously produce masses of shit.
Re: So is Kromestar trying to get picked up by Rottun or..
Both tunes are sick!!! really digging what Kromestar & Dark Tantrums are doing right now, main reason i still listen to dubstep.
If none of you have seen Dark Tantrums on get darker last week i suggest you watch
the tune with trim is fucking baddddd!!!!

Just looked at the tracklist, he plays Team Starfleet - Mad Ting. Seriously wtf is happening with that tune, I need it so badly.
