Re: Fallout New Vegas
And they pose no challenge at any level, if you stare at one hard enough its head'll explode
FO3 was deffo harder

Re: Fallout New Vegas
Still prefer FO3 over new vegas. It was darker and more depressing, new vegas feels like a western with robots.

You want a challenge? Go to the Cliffside Prospector Camp. Swim across the river to the other side, opposite from the Cliffside map marker. There is some power armour in there if you can get in and get out alive.

You'll have to find out...bring a gun.
Re: Fallout New Vegas
Ye i agree, that game was so grim. Best part of new vegas for me was the Lonesome road addon, loved that.JBoy wrote:Still prefer FO3 over new vegas. It was darker and more depressing, new vegas feels like a western with robots.

Too short though...plus the linear structure. New Vegas is lacking a truly decent open world add-on like Point Lookout was for FO3. Closest that comes to it is probably Old World Blues.
Re: Fallout New Vegas
I know you said 'challenge', but that's like having a danger wank when your mum is already in the room.

Re: Fallout New Vegas
This stnuc quest just will NOT trigger. I have got her to speak just once, when I was doing the B29 mission for the boomers and then she randomly comes out with some shit just as I'm about to raise the plane on the pier. I have been to pretty much every location it's said to trigger, and even waiting until I get a quest associated with that area as its been advised thy some lines of dialogue will only work once. Waited a good 4 days in front of the Mcarren Terminal doors bit with this slag and still NOTHING.
plz help

Re: Fallout New Vegas
I found it No. As in I'm not doing that just yet. As in I fail to see how you could even do it AT ALL without a fucking class sniper and a good vantage point a loooooonnngg way away.
No, dickhead Veronica's.

Re: Fallout New Vegas
If you use a stealthboy there's a great sniping point inside...if you can get to it. I did it with a fully tricked out Anti-Mat rifle (supressor & high sneak are a fucking must) and a shit ton of AP ammo.Dead Rats wrote:I found it No. As in I'm not doing that just yet. Re: Fallout New Vegas
Started replaying this over the weekend, varied the character build so I'm fully tricked out on Luck & Intelligence and letting Strength & Endurance slide as a result. Breaking the casino banks as I come across them, three character team with Boone & ED-E as support. Way more fun second time round.

Re: Fallout New Vegas
Boone and ED-E are a great team.
I traded ED-E for that dog from the Great Kahns but promptly changed back.
I've just started the Lonesome rode after finishing old world blues.
It's a bit weird to get into after a few weeks of DayZ and Arma2.

Re: Fallout New Vegas
Lonesome Road is fucking dark and tbh not all the much fun compared to Old World Blues. You get some shit hot kit/weapons, admittedly, but it's a bit too serious. The choice you make at the end does have a big effect on possibilities once you're back in the Mojave, however.

Re: Fallout New Vegas
I'm not enjoying it much as Old World Blues which kept me on the edge of my seat.

Re: Fallout New Vegas
OWB is quality, full of character and feels like a seperate world as opposed to a linear mission structure. Lonesome Road is dark, Dead Money is ridiculously difficult for what it is, though it fills the story out nicely for some of the NPCs, Honest Hearts is fucking MINT in terms of location/design/story, but suffers from it's story missions being a bit too short.Electric_Head wrote:I'm not enjoying it much as Old World Blues which kept me on the edge of my seat.
Re: Fallout New Vegas
Third playthrough now and i cant believe how good 'that' gun is, tougher enemies such as deathclaws go down with one or two shots without fail.

Anti Mat rifle?
