My 12 year old son bitches about tests that have 20 questions.
That works out to 1.5 pages of short sentences or single answers.

I think the longest paper I've had to write was 10 pages....

this. most of the research I did for college ended up being around 7-12 pages. with deadlines announced a month or two in advance.
