on the breakier side of dubstep

Post by kuryakin » Fri Jul 06, 2007 8:28 pm

been listening to too much planet mu i think

this is my remix of a mates rnb tune. it's pretty unrecognisable from the original and certainly doesn't sound like rnb.

Fat bass and nasty skittery drums. what more do you want.

Me and You - Kuryakin's "Squeezed and pulled and hurt my neck" mix

editheres a 320 an a slightly better mixdown

any opinions and abuse are welcome. i'd really like to nail this sound

wowo what a take on dub Im loving this tune. Totally comming from the left, warming it up for us. THis tune right here is a warm up tune. Get you all ready to drop that bass. And yeah lets here some more breaks, one drops and two drops are great but give us a break beat. Big up yourself, nice tune!

youve done well to get that out of an rnb tune. would turn the bass down a bit, it dominates a bit too much

whenever i hear a tune that is described as breaky or like planet mu stuff - i always hope it sounds like this track here.

beautiful glitchwork
awesome awesome track
could easily hold its own on a compilation from planet mu or somesimilar label.
i love the way it feels like theres something bigger coming just round the next glitch but once there you cant help feeling that theres something bigger coming just round the next glitch but once there you cant help...

word! the drum part needs more punch! and as mentioned above, little more diversity within this track wouldn't do harm at all

on the bright side - the idea is really good & so is the female voice !
"f*ck dubstep. It's played almost exclusively by self indulgent wannabe losers"

amen

Reet,

sounds alright so far,

the beat your using sounds too stretched though, and i kept waiting for it to go off, with amen or titen break or summit like that. Nice idea for remix though, keep working on it.
