man, one thing that always strikes me on the tank man photo is the fact that he's holding fucking shopping bags. it shows he's just an ordinary nobody that was walking home from the grocery store, and saw the tanks, and instead of running like everyone else, just thought, "you know what? fuck this." it empowers me in a certain way that i can't explain. no one knew who this guy was, and i don't think anyone fucking cared, and he knew that. he was just a normal person, like you and me, that decided that one day he wasn't gonna tolerate all this bullshit anymore, and he didn't give a fuck who cared.
