This is my new favourite effect.
I seem to have overlooked Reaper's graphical waveshaper when I was getting back into production. I like to run a signal through multiple instances of it. After that it might only need some multiband compression, eq and limiting.
This thread is for waveshaper appreciation. Go.

The Melda plugs MWaveshaper is pretty great. More features than the stock FL one for sure. But if I'm remembering correctly, the quality is far more limited on the melda one than the fruity one.
