Easy guys,

Sakoon aim to push the boundaries and explore into the free flowing sound of Worldly dance music. Whether it is Hip Hop, Dubstep, Drum & Bass, House or Funk, the influences will pull from sounds all over the world. Whether it is Chinese strings, African percussion or Indian flutes, our releases will travel as far from home as possible.

As well as releasing music digitally, we strongly believe in music being accessible on a physical format. All of our releases are available to purchase on Dubplate from our shop. The Dubplates are made especially when you order it so you will be in the very small minority of the world to own this special music on wax.

Most places offer 4 tracks on Dubplate at roughly £50, but we are able to retail our releases at £30 each including postage.

Cool concept, but I'd rather a small vinyl release. They are damn good tunes but If I am gonna drop $60 for 4 tunes I am going pick them carefully. Too many good digital only tunes out to limit myself on one dubplate. Big release none the less though, will cop the digi.

We want to bring back the culture where when artists would ask for peoples music, they would give them dubplates or send over money to have the tracks they like from the respective artist cut to dubplate and sent over. Although we embrace the new digital era, digital music is disposable and easily forgettable. A Dubplate is something you'll never forget in your record bag and the music is something you'll always remember.
