The original "Hairspray" was a cult classic in the states. The new movie will probably rake in the cash on that principle alone. I'm sure John Travolta will be laughing all the way to the bank

I always had a sinking suspicion he might be a bellend.
And there you have it.

He's pretty much pissed away any goodwill he earned from Pulp Fiction. Shame really.

aint seen it yet so wont judge too much (I love the original), he's her mum innit?
yeah, when I see the trailor it did make me question why he decided to go for this role, not really a "john travolta" role compared to, like someone said earlier, Pulp Fiction or even Face Off..............hmmm
Roseanne Barr should have gone for it.....nuff love for Roseanne!!!

He must have another good film.... but I seriously can't think of one right now.
John Travolta is, John Rambo!

other good travolta movies? Face/off, definatly.
and if you like musicals and disco dancing, grease and saturday night fever.
I saw the poster of Hairspray yesterday and I was like 'damn, this must be a bad movie'

I agree with this being his worst career move ever
Swordfish was badman business. This film looks like a serious waste of 2+ hours

he maybe went for it,,,for two reasons
A. he's an actor, it's his career, I respect John travolta and i feel that by going for variety roles/characters and taking risks shows his artistic integrity is still intact.
B. & im sure the paycheque was just right,,,LOL/////
