Youngsta & Toast Australia/NZ: Highlights & Recaps

Post by vertx » Tue Jun 12, 2012 12:32 am

Hands up hands up! Who had the pleasure of a night with Youngst & Toast?

Sydney was fun, sound could have been better (that's Sydney for you), but an overall top night.

Out to all the Sydney crew for making it out, locals making us proud, special ups for our man Gielis covering for Mark Pritchard, big shoes to fill!

Show in melbourne was large, good sound and the vibe was unreal. I had my best night out in melbourne in a long long time.

The mix features tunes from Gorgon Sound, Dark Tantrums, Headhunter, Proxima, Commodo, Silkie, and many more. I hope you enjoy the vibes. :)

Highlights were Badman VIP and Ruffhouse VIP, both of them went off. Got kinda bored though. While the mixing was top notch and Toast was an impressive MC, the tune selection was really, really samey. I've enjoyed sets from local DJs in the past few weeks more

bigup mate, was good fun. they've still got one or two gigs in japan to play i think.. don't know if there are any members on the forum going to those tho? i hope goth trad is playing with them.. out to those dedicated heads who were able to make it round to multiple shows, i can think of a few! youngsta treating them with a nip of courvoisier at the end haha

Yeah it was a special night that syd gig. If only we could get artists of this calibre touring more frequently! The only other thing we need is a regular monthly night showcasing these deeper sounds, imo there hasnt been anything decent since VOID shut down (due to venue issues?). Miss the good old days at phoenix where every month there was a decent gig to look forward to...

yeah Someone was a highlight
Paul'd got the sound in there as good as it'll probly ever be.
The night felt simultaneously like a climactic & definitive flowering
and a setting of seed for what evolves from half-step rollers.
