After a rather lovely launch down at Peckham’s notorious Canavan’s Pool Club We Buy Gold is back, Friday 22nd June for a second instalment at their brand new home The Alibi.
First up Lenkemz who in the last 12 months has collaborated with everyone from Traxman through to Mad Decent’s Zebra Katz, released on King Pigeon, Senseless Records and that’s just for starters. Hailing from the Midlands, UK, Lenkemz has been refining various mutant strains of dance music + sound collages since 99', drawing strong influences from Jungle, Grime, Bassline, Reggae/Dancehall Soundsystem Culture and more recently Chicago Juke and Footwork. Get ready for a hefty dose of sonic madness with a distinctly UK twist.
Next in line, one for the heads. A key member of Chicago’s Ghettoteknitianz family and the man responsible for ‘Make Me Feel’ the dub that everyone’s been talking about, We Buy Gold is proud to present the one and only J-Cush. With releases lined up on his, DJ Rashad, and DJ Spinn's own no.1 footwork label Lit City plus links with pretty much anyone who’s worth knowing J-Cush brings some serious hype.
