1. add fx to a specific audio region (in reaper, this is called take fx and is extremely powerful). for example, this means you can have 10 snares all on the same audio channel have completely different fx on them, without the need to do complex automation, or setup 10 different audio tracks.then you can even use the crossfade tool to fade the fx in/out of the audio region. this feature really is brilliant. from this, you could set up a complex pattern in about 5 mins that would take a lot longer in logic.
good idea but you could do this in logic just add 10 audio channels and then folder them so the arrange stays tidy.
2. in reaper, you can side-chain and/or modulate any parameter using reapers built in lfo , or any parameter of any other instrument/plugin in your track as your modulation source. you can do something similar in reason too. for example, i could modulate the volume of my fm8 that's on track 2 by using the high-pass filter i have on track 15.
I don't really understand why you would modulate a volume with a filter is that not just like automating the volume?
I do completely agree it would be nice in logic if you have an lfo that could modulate any parameter you wanted though.I would like to see an lfo/envelope where you could draw your own wave shapes like in Absynth.
Logic could really do with a lfo plug like this because drawing in sine waves with automation or other curved waves can be a pain in the arse but is still doable.
