the garage/step breaks

Post by dubstepusa » Wed Jul 11, 2007 10:11 am

been trying to get that garagy sound when making breaks , i've got the spacing, open/closed hats, snares, massive kicks, etc... just still don't have that hoppy garage sound, which in turns make my tunes feel more stepish in the end. right now a lot of my chunes are coming out sounding like sped up hip hop?

Hello mate - I mamage to get a 2-steppy sound by having he occasional triple hi hat or triple snare sound with the swing set to about 50% on the track overall.

If you have alisten to to my track called Dubble Bubble on myspace http://www.myspace.com/cak556
And listen to the bit at about 4 mins 20, you will hear when I add some 2-steppy hi hats which completely add a swingy bouncy vibe to the track. It is just some hi hats in close succession with the swing up at about 50%.

Is that the sort of sound you are looking for?

Hope this helps bro!
