Re: Live 9 announced
I heard its NEXT summer, as in about a year from now...
Re: Live 9 announced
If that is the case, and bitwig does all of those things that Live currently doesn't do in 8, this may be a textbook demonstration on how to crash a software company.

Re: Live 9 announced
damn it thats like... a year from now.
I need my automation curves sooner than that.

Re: Live 9 announced
Honestly I just need 64 bit, everything else is fine. Automation curves would be nice though...save some time. Maybe update the stock plugins.
I really don't see what else they could add to it though that would warrant a whole new version.

Re: Live 9 announced
what will 64 bit help with specifically? i got an mbp, so i could benefit i suppose. also, what's upgrade's gonna cost from suite 8? like $99?
Re: Live 9 announced
There is a lot they could do on the live side of things to greatly improve the depth of the app. Not the least of which is automation clips.Attila wrote:I really don't see what else they could add to it though that would warrant a whole new version.

I don't use the Session view at all, so maybe there's work to be done there, but as far as Arrangement view goes I don't know what significant changes they could add without disrupting the workflow.
Basically 64 bit will mean I'll never have to bounce another audio track again unless I want to resample it. No more random crashes because Live's out of memory. I'll use 4 instances of Studio Drummer just for the hell of it...it'll be beautiful.drake89 wrote:what will 64 bit help with specifically? i got an mbp, so i could benefit i suppose. also, what's upgrade's gonna cost from suite 8? like $99?

Multi monitor support wouldn't hurt a bit.Attila wrote:but as far as Arrangement view goes I don't know what significant changes they could add without disrupting the workflow.

Re: Live 9 announced
8 is more than decent, don't need 9. Screw them and their 9.
