Depending on how much you cared about Haunted, you can get Anti War Dub on vinyl for less than £50 along with 13 other tracks by buying Warrior Dubz. Which makes me wonder if DMZ007 is jacked more because it's got pretty much the definitive Coki tune on it.

For me personally:
- When Rusko changed his sound from earlier releases
- Realising that i got into the genre too late (about 2008)
- Old school tracks going for stupid prices on discogs
- clinical mixdowns, I miss some of the old mixing techniques that gave older tunes their charm
- That there are no good dubstep nights where i live (not even one)
- When im the only person in my social circle who enjoys dubstep, and get constant shit for it
Getting constant shit for "making wobs with a computer" really fucks with ya head sometimes, especially when its something i really wanna do
Was never giving my mate shit while he was playing in a punk band

yeah it's mainly for anti war dub (not as much haunted), so warrior dubz would be cool - but there's something about the charm of the actual anti war dub/haunted record that you can't get just by getting warrior dubz

I know what you mean. But for me I guess there's no option as I'm the other way round - it's mostly Haunted I'd be getting it for. Malawise I'd rather have Neverland or Blue Notez out of the older stuff.

yeah, especially loefah and mala, they really personify that idea to me - tunes like horror show and blue notez really have that rough edgy feel

to a slightly different extent, burial also has rough mixdowns and that gives his tunes a rough edge

My saddest moment is when we all embraced chase and status into dubstep after everyone at dmz 3rd bday bash went crazy when someone dropped their tune bits.. No denying it was a quality tune at the time (hurts me to say that)
That's just in a looking back kinda way.

surely a good tune is a good tune regardless of what the producers go on to do? we still love old skream/benga bits despite their current direction.

just gonna leave this here:

The saddest moment in dubstep was when Z-Audio/Rob Sparx threatened to have me removed from youtube for posting a live clip in horrible quality of one of the acts on their roster.

And also, the fashionalisaiton of our scene: clothes, merchandise, props, fixed dancing moves.

And also, the orchestration to and evaluation of drops, and as a consequence, the mixing from drop to drop which began a lot earlier (for some) than you'd expect.

I have Anti-War Dub on 12" from the Warrior Dubz release.
I have "All Of A Sudden" by Coki on the Coki/Loefah Deep Medi plate.
I'm not spending £80 on DMZ007.

usually, when you put something in bold in a quote, you are referring to that very part of the quote... :4:
