Might be that it overheats when loading the CPU too much.

Also, it could be faulty memory, but that should show up running other apps too.

If you can't make it happen by say, running a zillion VSTs, maybe it's a graphics card memory problem / overheating? Or just a driver bug.

Just a few things that might be the issue. Sorry I can't help ya more right away. Sorry about the trouble, that stuff sucks :/

sounds like its overheating and your cpu2 is way too hot
when temperatures go above 60C there might be random crashes & other system instability

try cleaning the insides of your computer from dust (especially the cpu cooler), and if that doesn't help you have to improve the cooling somehow

71 is way too hot man. Get a better cooler, or you'll end up with a "melted" processor :).

cpu temp is not way too hot, thats about average. and if it was overheating it would shut down.

if its only crashing when playing games, then lower the graphical settings within said game, update graphics driver, or look into getting a new card. if its crashing when doing anything intensive, and when you say crashing, if you mean the whole sys freezes, even the mouse, then you may be looking at blown caps on the motherboard. if it fails to load some times, it could be ram or hdd.

u can download a ram and hdd checker alot of places on the net if you want to rule these things out.

Not true... You can get a Mac, and do the dual boot thing where you have Windows for games and OSX for production. Just make sure you get an Intel Mac if thats what you want to do with it.

its bizzare now
i cant even install windows, the pc turns itself off, just before u get the part when u add the keyboard type, region ur in etc.
luckily i have the motherboard disk, that installs the whole pc again.
i will have to check things out.
i have a 80 gig harddisk,so i need to upgrade that anyways.
and im gonna buy some ram (small stick),and a motherboard.
should cost me £100 in all :D

you're probably getting this stuff anyway, but it doesn't sound like that would fix anything for you - it's almost definitely a heat issue with cpu2. turn the pc on with the case open to make sure the fan above your heatsink is actually spinning

what do you mean by 'motherboard disk' by the way?

whatever you do don't listen to things like
GET A MACINTOSH.

especially considering things like http://secunia.com/product/96/

definatly dont go with the mac suggestion, u'll end up spending ur next couple months wages on applications.

defo check the cpu fan, my bro had the same problem when playin games and he thought it was the graphics card over heating.

his solution was open the side and shuve a room fan facing the computer.

luckely i had a look and it turned out his CPU fan had died and hadnt been running for the last couple weeks. changed the fan, now it runs perfectly.

in ur case ur second cpu is running way to hot. average should be around 40-50 C depending on wat ur doing and how gd ur heatsink and fan is. latest cpu's run even less then that.

give us a run down of ur machine specs.
