You are 13 and making some pretty nice tunes.... meaning you are ahead of the game.

Not sure why you need to be smoking weed in the park when you could be at home making beats.

Plus If you get too ANYTHING to not be interested in women you have taken it too far.

It's not like they had a choice about the name, they still would have made this under the name CS i think

Sonika, on some real shit, you shouldn't be doing drugs at all. Not even drinking or smoking. Make your beats and pick up some girls, enjoy your youth. My friends and I kinda pissed away middle school/most of high school just going out and getting twisted up.
Shit, my one best friend gets depressed because he started partying way too young and the fact he gets drunk/stoned/nodded every night. Not something you wanna be getting into. Personally, I only smoke. I'll get drunk on occasion, and I like messing with some "club drugs" on the side, but nothing major. Wait until your at least 16 to smoke. Even then don't make it a habit.

Why did Chasing Shadows change their name? Why do they make awful music now?

Yeah from what I've seen the earlier you get into weed the more likely it is to become a habit. If it does become a habit, it might change you or it might not. Results vary among my friends. I find I'm much happier only smoking it occasionally. Either way, getting drunk and high at your age is bad for you cos your brain's still developing, and not only that but if you get bored of that stuff in a few years you might find yourself moving onto harder, more dangerous drugs. You're still young and you've got a fuckload of talent, enjoy the innocence of youth and don't mess up what you've got :W:

As for Chasing Shadows/Killsonik, despite the other gash they've put out lately I reckon this is a huge tune:

Shame about the A-side of that one though...

meh weed and alcohol cant hurt in moderation like everything else

I really love the intro to that, very garage-y ^

the drop, I like it but it's a bit of a letdown from the massive intro

Had no idea that KillSonik was Chasing Shadows. Well I feel out of the loop. Regardless, the Crush On You remix was solid.

But smoking weed at a young age is all bad. You will change, I noticed I did. I'm more apathetic about things that don't really matter, and I feel like I'm less fun anymore. Could just be growing up though. It's definitely made me more pensive, which is okay I guess. When your mind is developing, even moderation will still hurt it. just steer clear for a few more years.

What is moderation to a 13/14 year old? Careful who you base yourself against.

Going from personal experience (obviously don't take this as a reflection on you Sonika, I don't know you) but of all the kids I know that started drinking and smoking at about 13/14, I know one who's holding down a good job 9/10 years on (and he still smokes hella weed, doesn't drink though), the rest are all dipping from metal band to metal band proclaiming that this one is finally gonna be the big one (so big they've took jobs painting car doors at a factory).

I used to get fuuuuucked up really quickly at about 17/18 on booze, so yeah, all I'm saying is, what might seem like moderation to you if you're comparing yourself to people 5/6 years older than you, may in fact be too much (especially booze, don't claim to be knowledgeable on weed). Also, you will quickly find yourself become a fat mother fuck.

Hope that didn't come across as condescending.

.
exactly. to a child of your age, there is no moderate amount, even the smallest bit of alcohol/weed/whatever substances is too much for a developing child. if you don't believe your parents, believe the big boys in the internet

the fat part scares me :o

okay, I don't want to string this whole discussion along, but is it really that bad if I just do weed/alcohol with some friends every ONCE and a while?

I actually quite like Bloodlust and think the production is as sick as always (those clappy chain whip snares are great in the intro) and it's proper visceral right until 0:56 .... that sound that comes in after "thirsting for blood" is actually the worst noise ever. I know people go "lol how can you listen to bass cannon lol dat screech" but this genuinely, genuinely hurts my ears. It's like the most annoying sound in the world, and it should definitely fuck off.

Also, as a tribute to 16-bit, here's my favourite "bro" tune of all time
