Drum Dub

Post by _cheef_ » Wed Jun 27, 2012 7:44 pm

Fucking awesome new genre that's getting pushed by big names like skrillex. Basically it's dubstep pitched up to drum and bass bpms. Check it out!

nope. You see, drumstep is at dubstep tempo (140 bpms) whereas drum dub is dubstep pitched up to dnb tempo (170 bpms) :4:

False, drumstep is drum and bass tempo with half time drums.

no, drumstep is Drum n' Bass with Dubstep Drums. Drum dub is still dubstep but it's PITCHED UP to dnb tempo. :4:
Drumstep is at 175 bpm with half time drums... Drum dub does not exist. Drumstep isn't really even a legit genre in my mind.

This is a false statement
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=drumstep
Clearly says that it's a subgenre of drum and bass, keeping the tempo of 175, but switching the drums to half time...

Under the subgenres section... "Drumstep = (It's Dubstep with Drum n' Bass tempo, or Drum n' Bass with Dubstep Drums)"

okay well you have to remember that this is a relatively new genre so I strongly doubt you're going to find it in wikipedia or whatever :corntard:

It will never be in wikipedia because "Drum dub" is already called Drumstep... I don't get what's so hard to understand about that....

lol its funny enough that people make these completely abstract names, but when they try and explain what some of them represent and don't have a clue themselves its comedy gold.
