Nazca - Gewissheit/Empty Heads in the Sun

Post by nazcatunes » Thu Jun 28, 2012 10:38 am

Hey,
some new previews of my recent work. I know it does not really relate to dubstep anymore. However, I always like feedback from people who are not familiar with it. I also had some really nice feedback from some of you so if you want to, take a listen and tell me what you think...

cheers

Nice. Dark, experimental and slow. Great stuff man, only thing I can comment on is that your mix sounds a bit dull at times. Some more morphing soundscapes or changes in percussion would give it more liveliness.

I'd say the biggest thing for me is dynamics, I understand with this it's going for a more natural sound but a bitta compression and slight changes to the drums levels can really help give it a more even sound,

Interesting vibes in here though

great eerie vibes to start. builds interesting tension and when the bass comes in it compliments well. a bit more novelty for my tastes but good start. I like the second one a bit more. Again, very minimal for me and feel I cannot appropriately comment, but sounds seem well placed, mixdown or not...and I like that one percussive instrument that sounds very hollow (a diff kick maybe?) and adds nice contrast to the rest of the percussion.

great to have more feedback:) Thanks for that! The different kick is just a standard Tom from some old MPC kit:)
