Yes !!!!! Not gonna watch the time trials because we all know who's gonna win those and I'm working during most of them but this year should be good, hopefully some new faces stand out.

Re: Tour de France 2012
Don't really care about the riders or who wins, but I love to watch.

Just because you are a character, does not mean you have character.
Re: Tour de France 2012
Yeah I always skip the time trials, just cos theyre not that interesting to me. I'm sad cos i thought this was finally gonna be Andy's year but will be good to see some new riders at the top. My tip is Pierre Rolland to come top 3Rönin wrote:Yes !!!!! a mountain stage where its just two guys slugging it out- staring into each others faces to try and catch some weakness in the other's eyes, thats like the best thing in any sport imo.frank grimes jr. wrote:Don't really care about the riders or who wins, but I love to watch.

Re: Tour de France 2012
jurgen van den broeck is going to do it this year
It's about dropping a track at the wrong speed, and it sounding better than the real thing.
Re: Tour de France 2012
I hope so!horsefeather wrote:jurgen van den broeck is going to do it this year
Watch Mollema though!

Re: Tour de France 2012
I have serious doubts about Van Den Broeck, too many time trail kilometres, top 5 at best. Eventhough I hope Wiggins takes it I still think Evans has a great shot at winning it again. Sooo gutted Contador and Andy are out.
Looking forward to what Sagan is capable of and ofcourse I hope Gilbert can take yellow in Belgium.

Re: Tour de France 2012
I reckon Bradley Wiggens is going to win...
He is the best on time trials and that is whats important this year.

Re: Tour de France 2012
Evans isn't exactly a bad time rider either, plus he doesn't weigh as much
Then again, I think Wiggins definitely has the better team with him.
Read a few of these prediction articles and I'm surprised of how few mention Hesjedal.
Is it just because he doesn't have the Tour as his only priority?
He obviously peaked in the Giro but maybe he'll surprise himself again.

Re: Tour de France 2012
Why people do not mention Hesjedal? Contador and vaious other riders have proved how difficult it is to perform in both the Giro and the Tour. Hesjedal was at his peak during the Giro(and he had few opponents.), it is ridulously hard to combine Giro + Tour. I like him but he's no match for Evans/Wiggo.AxeD wrote:Evans isn't exactly a bad time rider either, plus he doesn't weigh as much

Re: Tour de France 2012
Yeah, I'm not saying he has a good chance on finishing first, but I could see him making the top 10.
Maybe I'm overestimating Vansummeren
Already cleared my schedule for stage 16

Re: Tour de France 2012
Gonna be watching. I'm a bit terrible at keeping up with the ins and outs of the rest of the season - I'm pretty much a 'le tour' fan only, so every time it comes round I have no idea about form or injuries or anything.
Sounds interesting though from what people are saying. I'll probably be routing for Wiggins.
Also, can't wait for the mountains...

Lots
Dudes are still going with broken wrists.
I don't get how you still do the Tour with a broken wrist.

Re: Tour de France 2012
YES!!! Was so good to watch them string out the peleton & watch all the contenders drop off the back. Schleck is gone so its pretty much a 2 horse race now(not that he was looking great in the 1st place). I know what you're saying about Froome... Team Sky have made such a big deal out of anti doping that I personally think it would be horrible if anyone on the team tested positive. After reading David Millar's autobiography I have slightly more faith but at the same time I dont trust anyone that takes on TDF.hutyluty wrote:Woo, peleton destroyed by sky!
