The Tempa releases may be classic, but they're not as qualitative as the DMZ or Deep Medi Releases.

Besides, this thread is about overrated tunes, not shit tunes.

You have to experience it on a club system, bro.
Yeah maybe, but im sure it wont make a difference, i find it really difficult to listen to most Coki tunes. I just really dislike the majority of his music and hearing them on a loud system will most likely confirm that.

Kind of like tearout and dungeon, the sub bass is hidden in there. It is hard to initially get past the Coki wobbles, but once you do, Coki's tunes will kick the shit out of you (if you listen to them on a proper system).

Burnin would be better if it wasn't for that horrible vocal sample.

Don't get this untouchable tune attitude. Just because a tune is a classic doesn't mean people can't express their opinion about it or that everybody should like it.
And imo the whole "it's a system tune" thing is bullshit. A good tune is a good tune, regardless of where you play it (ok, maybe not on laptop speakers). There's plenty of commercial jump up tunes that go off at rave, doesn't mean they're any good. What's even the point of releasing stricly system tunes if people can't enjoy it unless they're at a night?

I don't get why someone would take the time to register on a forum about music they like only to post about stuff they don't.

wrt the stuff in bold it goes both ways someone says it's shit someone says it isn't both opinions neither more valuable than the other and neither really offering anything insightful or interesting.

Then what's the point of this forum? Promotion only?

Nah it's perfectly reasonable to discuss stuff you are and aren't feeling I just don't know why someone would register specifically to do this, it's not like Burnin and Sweetshop are new tunes these are years old.

Surely you can admit some folks are openly discussing their statements?

I don't want to piss on anyone's cupcakes, but Anti-War Dub shouldn't be considered the dubstep tune. Yes, it's one of the first dubstep anthems, but, in my opinion, it doesn't really bring anything special. I dislike the drums, and, oh, look at that—wobbling sub! Then again, pretty much all anthems are overrated.

I am, you're right.
I actually agree with your statement wholeheartedly.
But generally these type of topics should create healthy discussion.

I think it's because it's by a pioneer, and is just about the proto-typical dubstep tune. Sub bass, space, interesting drums, sparse vocal sample, at 140. It also stands better as THE dubstep tune because it's frame so to speak is applicable to so many tunes, dungeon, hessle type tunes, more garage-y stuff rather than those types individually. It transcends all the sub-genres as it isn't too heavily weighted in any of them.

You're right. I suppose people are biased toward the track given how rudimentary it is.

Haha the vocal sample's the best bit of that tune for me! :D Don't really know about specific overrated tunes tbh, a lot of "dungeon" stuff apart from Kryptic Minds I tend to find quite tedious but 'm not the only one. Some of the newer Swamp81 house type tunes I'm not really feeling either.
